Ambition
(I’m too sleepy right now, these things just knocked in my head)
Invent a rocket with a time machine
Travel to heavenly bodies we’ve never seen
Millions of light years will just unfold
with all the crew not getting old
And soon we will leave Earth one day
In search for aliens in the Milky Way
We’ll pass by stars both red and blue
Discover places we never knew
We’ll land on a planet like mother earth
A planet with life, beauty and worth
And the aliens, the aliens, they look like us
And what’s better is that they’re willing to discuss
Their world is different, I can’t explain
They have no boats, or cars or trains
They travel with these round rubber balls,
protected by their energy walls
They are more advanced, they have their flying shoes
and they have these robots to look for the clues
No crimes are committed, no killing, no death.
But your life could be taken with a smell of their breath.
And they eat colorful fruits of different shapes
For example they have these strange orange grapes
They don’t eat meat nor do they eat fish
And before they eat, they make a wish.
They don’t have pets, coz their animals are big.
Their 10-legged spiders have the size of a pig
Their dogs are like elephants, and their birds are like planes
And their caterpillars and centipedes are as big as a train.
They don’t have water, but they have this weird thing
It’s a red gelly substance attached to a ring
And when they take a bath, they just jump in.
They stay for 5 minutes,after that, they are clean.
We traveled around their planet as big as the sun
And after a decade we were finally done
We took all the pictures we needed to get
And begin to end this journey which we’ll never forget.
Then we got to our rocket, and turned the engine on.
And soon after a minute, we were already gone
We set the speed faster, sat back and held our tongues
And operated the time machine, so that we’ll remain young.
After a long long time, we were finally near
But there was one thing that we considered our fear
The fear that our planet has changed
But we hope everything’s the same and it will not be strange.
So we passed by the atmosphere, with full speed ahead
And landed on earth,” Thank God I said”
And so, it ends, and as real as it may seem,
I really enjoyed having this wonderful dream
The Complexity of this World
They say the Earth is rotting, but I say it’s getting complicated. And because of these complicated things which have attacked us(our mentality), I have made a wish list of what I want to have in order to fight off and survive the complexity of our world.
1) First off, I want to have lots of money. The world offers us with material things that makes our lives easier. They have also done a good job of getting into the hearts of people, convincing them to buy their products. And I guess we have done a poor job of trying to resist the attraction to these things. Now, they are no longer a want because we have allowed them to establish in our minds that these metal electric things are already a need. I mean, if you already have a cell phone, why buy a new one which has a camera in it? Or if you already have the latter, why buy the same thing with upgraded features? Why? Because they have developed one of the most frustrating things in the world, I don’t know what it is too, but it makes our hands itch and it makes us get rid of our money fast. But I think it would have been better if they invented something that would get rid of garbage fast.
2) Speaking of garbage, I want to get rid of all the wastes in this world. Every waste that contributes to global warming. The icebergs are melting and snow is turning into rain, and the cornfields are filled with popcorn!(okay, I made the last two up, but still makes sense doesn’t it?hahaha) The heat is trapped in the earth’s dome and our ozone layer has been destroyed. What shall we do? Dispose of the garbage. Plant more trees. Patronize laptops instead of paper. Use E-mail instead of mail letters. Use credit cards instead of paper money. Stop talking if you have bad breath…..etc.
But is global warming real?haha. Well, I guess it is. But another thing comes into my mind, for me, our sun is growing old. It’s getting bigger and badder bit by bit. The bigger it grows, the hotter it gets. But that’s just me, just my opinion.haha
3) Another thing that I want is my very own special power. Hmmmmm, now what do I want? I don’t want to be super intelligent because that’s just plain crazy. I don’t want to have super strength, hmmm, crushing things is not my thing. What I really want is the gift of gab. I want people to believe what I say. Of course, I will only use this during desperate times. Like choosing who’s best for president when it’s really obvious. With just one sentence, the people will follow what I said. Their minds will be fixed on to doing that goal and eventually will return to normal. And it would be cool if you’re having a quiz, just tell your teacher “Ma’am, cheating is good for the heart” and then the teacher’s mind will change and say “Ok, then go ahead, make your heart healthy, cheat cheat cheat.haha(I was just joking at the latter one, but it’s kinda useful don’t you think?) And if you tell people that they must follow the rules, then they’ll follow the rules. hahaha. It”s kinda dominating, but that’s alright.haha. And if I have a name for my self with these power, the name would be….(pending, I’ll write another blog about this.hahaha, can you give suggestions?haha)
4) The next thing I want is opportunity. It’s the thing that’s really lacking in this world. A lot of people still needs opportunity, but unfortunately, the computers have taken a part of them. If only I could buy and create opportunities for my fellow countrymen, there’s no doubt that this country would improve and rise to the top. Opportunity is what we Filipinos need here. We need job opportunities, the opportunity to learn from the past, the opportunity to gain more money with all our hard work, the opportunity to show what we got…etc. Opportunity, is the big O, found in the word FILIPINO. But because it’s lacking, it could be that we are not at full force and the reason why we are struggling. We must be FilipinOs with a big O and we must not be contented just with Filipin only. We need this and that’s what I want for my countrymen. An unlimited amount of opportunity. That’s why I’m starting right now. I’m giving you the opportunity to to try and give out opportunities out too. Create opportunities for others by helping them and by being a “good” citizen of this country.
5) The last thing that I want is the simple but far away word called Peace. This was the name of my section when I was in fist year high school and this must be the name of the world too. Peace must be present in each of us, it’s the only thing that can erase anger, hatred and temptation. What is Peace anyway? Well for me, Peace is the state of our minds and heart where there are no other desires except to love and serve. It is the total happiness achieved due to the absence of evil. Peace is the foundation needed in building God’s kingdom. And don’t just take Peace literally. For me, Peace also stands for

Well, we have to pray always, but we have to pray as one when the world is facing a crisis. We have to be the world and not just be specs. We must pray and communicate with God.
Prayer comes alongside with Peace. Peace is achieved through Prayer after all, because prayer, besides being the fastest and shortest way of communicating with God, also cleanses our hearts and clears our minds. And then, we could make the decision.
Always remember that it’s always mind over matter. You have to believe in order to achieve. You have to analyze before you can see and you have to listen before you can hear.
And just a piece of advise. I realized how brilliant Albert Einstein is. With his formula E=mc(squared), I was able to make something out of it. His theory of relativity is really related.
Now, my understanding goes this way.
E, stands for excellence, M is for Magis(Magis means,doing more, going over your comfort zone, doing your best), C(squared), since there are two C’s, it stands for Christ-Centeredness.
So in other words, Excellence is achieved as long as we do more and do our best for God’s Greater Glory.
